Resource Mailboxes

A Resource Mailbox is a special type of Account with minimal rights. It is used to accept or reject events in the Calendar. A Resource Mailbox does not have access to the settings of a regular Account and all services are disabled. You cannot set a password or authorise in the Resource Mailbox.



Creating a New Resource Mailbox

  • Enter the name of the new Resource Mailbox in the field to the right of the "Create Resource Mailbox" button.
  • Make sure the name meets the requirements for Domain Objects. It can only contain letters, numbers, a hyphen (-) and a dot (.) as the box name is used in the email address to receive Calendar events.
  • Press the "Create Resource Mailbox" button.
  • Once created, the Resource Mailbox name will appear in the Domain Objects list and its settings page will be displayed.


    Specifying Resource Mailbox Settings

    To specify Resource Mailbox Settings сlick on its name in the list of Domain objects. The Resource Mailbox Settings page opens with the following settings:

    This displays the type of mailbox, in this case, the Resource Mailbox.
    Created
    Resource Mailbox creation date.
    Name
    In this field, enter the name of the Resource Mailbox that users will see when booking a meeting room or other resource.
    Description
    You can add additional information about the Resource Mailbox in this field.

    After modifying the Resource Mailbox Settings, press the Update button.


    Removing Resource Mailboxes

  • Open the Settings page for the Resource Mailbox you want to delete.
  • Press the "Remove Resource Mailbox" button.
  • Confirm the deletion.
  • Please note:

    Removing a Resource Mailbox will result in irretrievable loss of all associated data (folders, settings, etc.). To remove a Resource Mailbox, the domain administrator must have the "Can create users" permission.
